Congratulations, it’s a boy! We estatic for Katherine & David K. of Portland, OR on adding Tate to their family!
His Story:
7/24/15 UPDATE: Tate started itching a few days ago to the point that he is scratching his skin raw. He was seen by our vet and it appears he has seasonal allergies. Until we get him cleared up and comfortable, we will hold off on adopting him. We want him to be “back to normal” before he leaves our care.
If ever there was a Beagle who would put a smile on your face, this is your guy. Tate is a 2 year old boy, full of life, but a nice level of energy. He is a comic, a lover, a companion. He has only known one family his whole life – – a family who just got deployed overseas for a very, very long time. Unlike most dogs who find their way to us, Tate was loved and treated very well with this family. He had regular vet visits, nail trims, toys, a soft bed, never worried where his next meal would come from. As a result, we have the luxury of having all of his history. His former family reports that if he did have a fault, it would be that at any moment they would find him on the dining room table, or snagging their child’s sandwich. But us Beagle folks know that’s not a fault…that’s just a Beagle! Tate is wonderful with children and other dogs….and he sure does like to cuddle on the couch. They don’t come much nicer than this! We are going to take our time and be extra diligent in finding Tate a home because we owe it to his former family, and mostly to Tate. His CBR foster family confirms his wonderful personality and says when he met the resident cats, he just sniffed them quietly and walked past (however, if a cat races by him, a chase will ensue with proper Arooos throughout the house – no harm to the cat). They state, “whoever gets this dog is going to be very lucky.” Tate has ears for miles, and a beautiful tri-color coat.
We are looking to place him with a Beagle experienced family, fenced yard (or appropriate plan), kids ok!
