Ripley: Case Update

Ripley, the depressed beagle, has been on a diet for 3 weeks now.  He was still sleeping most of the day and night barely getting up to eat.  Time to see the vet!  Xrays revealed some weird calcifications on his rt rear leg and possibly even a fused patella on the left.  Poor guy!  Blood panel…check.  I waited 24 hours then called for results.  As suspected, this boy’s thyroid is low!  His T-4 is 0.4.  Enter Thyroxine.  Let’s see if this gives him some pep in his step!
