A giant congratulations to Hunter & Tara for finding their forever home with Kathy & Bob S. from Brookings, Oregon on 9/9/15!!
Here’s their story:
Peanut butter & jelly, salt and pepper, yin yang, Hunter & Tara. They just go together! These two SWEET Beagles are a very bonded pair, so we’ll adopt them together. They are 9-10 years old, but they still have all their Beagley traits. They have been in and out of a local shelter several times since 2013. In fact, adopted 3 times and returned each time for escaping. Those of us who are Beagle experienced know all about that – – and we take the necessary precautions! Both of them are great with kids and other dogs of all sizes, breeds and energy levels. They are happy-go-lucky types who take life in stride. Our foster family reports the first thing Tara did was snag the resident Beagle’s dinner. No surprise there!
When the shelter contacted us, they reported that Hunter was acting ill and needed to be seen by a vet. Upon picking them up, he was taken directly to a vet who was concerned enough to shoot an xray. Hunter had fluid in his lungs, an enlarged heart, and a respiratory infection. They ran blood work but we don’t have the results yet. Hunter was started on meds to help, but we are still evaluating him.
