Fostering a rescue Beagle is truly one of the most loving gifts you can give! We are always looking for caring foster homes to welcome Beagles entering our program. If you get Beagles, have a safe and secure yard, and can offer love, patience, and stability — whether for a short stay or something longer — we’d love to hear from you!
We’re here to support you every step of the way. Our goal is to make fostering a safe, happy experience for the Beagles in your care and a joyful, rewarding adventure for you.

Things to know
Financial Responsibility
Cascade Beagle Rescue provides all medical care for your foster Beagle until adoption. We can even provide supplies for daily care, such as food, toys, beds/blankets, if needed. You provide the safe, loving space . . .we’ll help with the rest!
Medical care
All medical care MUST be pre-approved by Cascade Beagle Rescue. All appointments must be arranged through our coordinators because Cascade Beagle Rescue has discount agreements set up with specific vet practices. In an emergency, don’t hesitate to take your rescue Beagle to the nearest vet! Then, notify our coordinators by email, text or phone, at your earliest convenience.
Daily care
We encourage at least one daily walk with the Beagle, fresh water, food twice daily, treats, and lots of love. A rescue Beagle with special needs will have detailed instructions. A watchful eye is top of mind with this wonderful breed! Be mindful of open doors & gates, and close off any wylie, sneaky escape routes.
Problems
If you experience behavior problems or other issues of concern, call us! Fostering can be difficult at times, and we are here to help you! Most behavior issues are easily addressed. But sometimes, you & your rescue Beagle just aren’t a good fit. This happens. Work with us, and we will find an alternative foster for your rescue Beagle, if necessary.
Adoptions
Our adoption team will be reviewing adoption applications during the time you are fostering. Some adoptions take longer than others because we screen extensively. If you become interested in adopting your foster Beagle, please notify us right away so we can discuss it! Adoption fees still apply. If people you encounter are interested in adopting your foster Beagle, refer them to our adoption team or to this website. They may call 503.298.6694 or email us at adopt@cascaderescue.org.
Schedules
If you need to go out of town– even for a weekend– please notify us. Don’t let your friend or neighbor care for the dog until that plan is approved by Cascade Beagle Rescue. Your neighbor may not know how to care for a Beagle which could result in problems for us and the dog.

Ownership of the Beagle
Cascade Beagle Rescue is the legal owner of all foster Beagles in our rescue program. When your rescue Beagle is adopted, ownership is transferred. We trust you will provide a loving & safe atmosphere for this very special Beagle. Heartfelt thanks to YOU, for assisting Cascade Beagle Rescue in this exceptional way!
