CBR-East was honored to be the recipient of an extremely generous donation from the Alison Marie Wildman Foundation to be used for the "caring and feeding" of animals. Her foundation is operated exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary or education purposes (excluding scholarships). No less than 35% of the annual income will be distributed to charitable organizations whose principal purpose is the prevention of cruelty to animals. When we looked online to learn more about Alison, we found the following links and wanted others to learn more about this loving person who, years after she left this earth too soon, is helping us in our mission to help beagles in need.

July 2007: Dog Days of Summer!
Dog Days of Summer is the name for the most sultry period of summer, starting from about July 3 to mid-August. Many thanks to Solix, Inc for choosing Cascade Beagle Rescue in its 3 week period dedicated to highlighting "dog" charities that are near and dear to their employees' hearts. Monetary donations and goods such as leashes, collars, toys, etc. were being collected. |
June 2007: Pitching in for Pups!
Lisa and David Tubbs, residents of Morris County New Jersey, held a puppy themed party for their two year old daughter, Maddie Rose to benefit Cascade Beagle Rescue. Lisa baked pawprint cupcakes for the guest attendees to munch on. In lieu of birthday gifts, donations of baby blankets, leashes, water bowls and toys for the homeless animals were given. Maddie may be young to immediately understand how far reaching her charity is but Lisa's older daughter understood the idea and loved it, as did their friends and families.

May 2007: Dog lovers...
...from the Sparta, NJ Junior Girl Scout Troop coordinated efforts to create "First Night" adoption kits to assist homeless dogs in Cascade Beagle Rescue's foster program. The kits included everything from collar and leash sets to food, bowls, toys and treats - staple items that all new adopters need when bringing home their "babies". For their hard work the girls were presented with Volunteer pins and Certificates of Appreciation from Cascade Beagle Rescue. As an additional incentive, the scouts were also awarded with a Humanitarian Recognition gift from their troop leaders.
