My sweet Bella. . .you were my special angel here on
earth and we miss you so very much. Although our time
here was cut way too short, please know that you will never
be forgotten. I picked YOU as my special angel because you
were "the one" over all the rest. We miss you more
than words can say and hope you knew how much you were
loved.
Love, Mommie & Lucy |

Bella, you are free from pain and suffering now...and
I'm sure Diva is showing you the ropes! You may
have been mistreated
and unloved at one time in your life, but you were adopted
by
your mom, Jane, who loved you unconditionally. We will
never
forget your impact on us personally and on CBR. You
changed us forever. Jane, you know our hearts are with
you and that we are here for you...always.

Our hearts go out to you Jane, during this
incredibly difficult time. Always remember all the
wonderful times you had with Bella, and the amazing home you
gave her. She was loved by so many, and CBR's Miss
October! Godspeed sweet Bella, soar with the angels......
Rick & Mary Garland
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jane. You were
such a wonderful
mom to Bella, thanks for keeping her safe and loving her.
Amy, Boomer, and Belle
Jane,
My heart is just breaking for you and Bella.
We (Harmony and I) are so sorry to hear about her
passing and the rough time she has had this last month.
I know she running with the angles and the other beagles
now, with not a care in the world, at the Rainbow
Bridge. Please know that you both are in our
thoughts and prayers.
Claudia & Harmony
Jane, our hearts are with you at this time. I
can't even imagine how you are feeling with the shock of
it all. I
don't know what I would do without my Charlie bear. They
are
definitely a special family of beagles which had
endured plenty in their little lifetime.
We will surely miss seeing Bella at Barktoberfest. It
was also so
wonderful seeing those beagles together and how
they remembered each other.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to
help.
Our hearts go out to you & Bella.
With great sadness,
Charlie
Sheri & Mark Holan
Sending prayers for you, Jane. I'm so sorry
for her loss. I can't even imagine how devestated
you are feeling. {{{hugs}}} jackie
Jane,I don’t know where to begin. Bella was
the poster girl for those who are so badly abused, yet are
given a second chance at love
and life thanks to wonderful people like YOU! Bella
will always be in my heart—after all, we spent so much late
“night-shift” time together she, Susan, and I, after her
puppies were born! I know in my heart that Bella
trusted Susan and I, but laughed hysterically nonetheless
when she showed Susan exactly what she thought of us (her?)
by piddling on Susan’s sleeping bag. Please know that I cry
with you because you lost your lovely Bella-rina, Laugh with
you at the memory of Bella’s antics, and Hold you close so
that you can heal and find solace in the fact that Bella is
soaring with the angels.
Much love to you and Lucy,
Michelle and the Dodgson Beagles (Bailey, Buster, Baxter,
and Belle)
Bella, I was lucky enough to meet you and your
Mom Jane, at Barktoberfest in 2007. You couldn't have
been sweeter or more loved.
Godspeed Good Girl. And wait for you Mom at the
Bridge.
Hugs, Gail, Josie and Oliver
Bella -
I remember getting an e-mail
from your mom telling us
how to recognize you at the Barktoberfest costume
party.
"Just look for the cutest beagle there." she
said.
And indeed you were.
You beagles just don't realize how much you
give us, how seeing you brings a smile to our faces,
how very, very special you are and how our hearts
break when you leave this earth.
Len, Susan and Elizabeth
It's a beautiful memorial. I am so sorry
for your loss. Sometimes I am just in awe by the
amount of loss and pain we can feel when it is time for
our furry friends to leave us. Just know that you
are not alone...
Sympathies,
Carolyn, (CBR-East Director) Rosie,
Pippin, Samwise & Elmer
Bella's pictures remind me *so much* of Leo.... I'm
*sure* they have found eachother in Doggie Heaven, and
are enjoying a
10 piece Chicken McNugget together.

Jane – The
following was recently posted on our local Pets
Forum:
"Being a veterinarian, I had been
called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound
named
Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa,
and their little boy Shane, were all very
attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a
miracle. I examined Belker and found he was
dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't
do anything more for Belker, and offered to perform
the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their
home. As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me
they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane
to observe the procedure. The felt as though
Shane might learn something from the experience.
The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat
as Belker's family surrounded him. Shane
seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last
time, that I wondered if he understood what was
going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped
peacefully away. The little boy seemed to
accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or
confusion. We sat together for a while after
Belker's death wondering aloud about the sad fact
that animal lives are shorter than human lives.
Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, "I
know why." Startled, we all turned to him.
What came out of his mouth next stunned me.
I've never heard a more comforting explanation.
He said, "People are born so they can learn how to
live a good life--like loving everybody all the time
and being nice, right?" The six-year-old
continued, "Well, dogs already know how to do that,
so they don't have to stay as long."
We extend our
heartfelt sympathy to you. I know my beloved
Thurston Howl IV, who always had an eye for the
lovely ladies,
has made a special point of welcoming your
beautiful Bella at the Bridge (he ever was the
gentleman, I promise).

Jane,
We are so sorry to hear about Bella I know how
devastating and
shocking this is for you. No words will make her
unexpected departure
better, nothing can do that. Just know she is always
with you and
that you made her life wonderful with all your love and
caring. Our
thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you.
