Charlie Brown
5 yr /
Male
Purebred Beagle
From: Oregon
Current Location: Oregon
Arrival Date: 04/01/2010 B.A.R.C. program
Adoption Fee: $200.00
About Charlie Brown Charlie Brown came to us through a shelter that reached out for our help. Charlie arrived with a lame rear leg. He was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament and he underwent major surgery to repair this. His foster dad has been working with him to regain use of the leg and he is doing great now. He also came in a little chubby, but has already lost almost 10 lbs! He's a nice boy who gets along great with other dogs. Watch here for more personality info as we get to know him better!

About Millie Miss Millie was found by animal control after being lost for over two months in the dead of winter. She was in an area with thick snow, freezing temps. Somehow she survived. She was skin and bones, dehydrated, and starving. Her owners were contacted, but they didn't want her back. Millie has been in the shelter since January and the staff took very good care of her there. They loved her endearing spirit and will to live. So did we...and now she is a CBR girl! She is being permanently fostered and will not go into our adoption program until her health status improves. She is full of worms and we're treating her for that. She is heartworm negative..yay! She has a mouthful of broken teeth, sore gums and an abcess that will require surgery. Our vet checked out some lumps and one was just a fatty tumor, but the other one appears to be cancerous. When her mouth is treated, that mass will be removed. However, this much needed treatment has been delayed due to her blood work showing some liver issues. She is being treated for that and we will recheck in a week. This type of medical intervention is expensive, so we are seeking fosters. Can you help Millie by sponsoring her??

Joey
1-2 yr /
Male
Purebred Beagle
From: St. Joseph, MO
Current Location: Oregon
Arrival Date: 07/17/2010 B.A.R.C. program
Adoption Fee: $200.00
About Joey Joey is a little guy who ended up in a shelter after being picked up as a stray. Nobody came for him so he was in dire need of finding a home. He was pulled from the shelter by a wonderful CBR volunteer and he began his journey westward to Oregon. He has the most wonderful personality, even temperament, not an aggressive bone in his body. He is wonderful with kids and other dogs. His foster family reports that he is comical, adorable, and "all puppy". His favorite activity is to gather up shoes, socks, towels...or what's every lying around and take them outside to add to his pile of treasures. He doesn't chew on them or anything..he just collects them. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm free. He needs a home...could you be his new family??
Goose

Purebred Beagle

Arrival Date: 06/01/2010 B.A.R.C. program
Adoption Fee: $100.00
About Goose Hello! My name is Goose, that's right, GOOSE! My former owners named me that but I'm not sure why. Lots of people think it's pretty funny though. My owners no longer wanted me so here I am hoping that one of you will take me home and make me part of your family. I'm a senior girl, but I've still got lots of spunk. Here's a little bit about me:
I have a microchip and all of my vaccinations are up to date. I do have a tooth that needs a little work, but other than that, I'm a healthy girl for my age! My tail is cut short because when I was younger, it had a bend in it and used to catch on wires and things, so my former owner had it cropped. This is another thing that gives me a very unique look! You see, I'm not just any old beagle!
My personality is very sweet and I have no problem reminding you when it's supper time. When I get to playing, I can get pretty vocal but man, do I have fun! I can tend to whine if I get bored, so be sure to have lots of stuff for me to chew on. That's works just fine. I likes to play with toys and other dogs am basically friendly and happy.
I think if I could select my ideal family, it woud an all-adult home with no more than one other dog such as a beagle or same size. A retired older person just like me, who would like a companion, would be a good match for me. I would love a home where someone who has lots of time for me and who would just adores me. You see, being a senior girl, I would love to finally have my final forever home and be able to love my family for the rest of my life.
If you're interested in an older dog named Goose, then please fill out our adoption applicaiton and let's get going! Time's a tickin'!
